Become A Foster
Most of our animals are placed with KAR foster families, who play a critical part in saving an animal's life. Foster families are KAR volunteers who generously open their homes to animals until a new home can be found for them. There are too many homeless animals out there. Can you open your heart and home to an animal in need that might not be taken care of otherwise?
THE ANIMALS NEED YOU!
Bringing a foster animal into your home is often the first and most important step in giving them a new lease on life. Many of them are homeless and may have suffered from abuse and neglect. When they are brought into the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, they learn that they are now safe and loved. It is very satisfying to see the animal's personality come alive when this happens. This is a very rewarding experience that too many animal lovers miss out on.
There is no time limit on foster care while we attempt to find permanent homes for the animals. We do ask that the foster volunteers commit to care for their animal until a permanent home is found.
